Danville Community Band June 13

The Danville Community Band, under the direction of Robert Calonico and Lawrence Anderson, is presenting their 2009-10 season finale concert on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 3:00PM at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center, 10550 Albion Road, San Ramon, CA 94582. The 80-piece band, completing its ninth performing season, presents “Ghosts of the Theatre,” featuring music from Stage and Cinema. Selections will include the music of Guys and Dolls, March from ‘1941’, Cats, the motion picture Silverado, and more. Tickets for the performance are $10 general admission, seating is reserved. Patrick Mock Exhibit in San Ramon: March 1 - April 30

Patrick Mock's work features a strong utilization of metallic and perlescent acrylic paints to achieve his unique style.  Patrick endeavors to create marbled and light refractive effects in the images in his paintings.  Metallic flakes are sometimes incorporated to further enhance eye catching features for the observer.  Many of his paintings have a clear gloss finish which allows the colors to remain fresh and vibrant.

The Art Connection Exhibit in San Ramon - April 1-30

4 Artists, 4 Visions, 4 Diverse Backgrounds - "The Abstract Express"

A diverse range of styles and interpretations of abstraction comprise this colorful exhibit.  The contemporary styles range from geometric and botanical abstraction to mythical landscapes on paper and canvas.  Angela Cheng, Ann Marie King-Hauser, Pamela Howett and Mary Claire Stotler make up this group of award winning artists.
