City of Pleasanton Civic Arts hosts Allen Jacobs and Barrett Felker, the Gizmo Guys, on November 7, 2009 at 11 am. The performance is the next is the SaturYAY! series of entertainment for children and their parents.
The Gizmo Guys mix quick-witted humor with expert juggling skills in light-hearted family entertainment. They have tour worldwide since 1987, have appeard on televsion, and have taught juggling at renowned French and Canadian National Circus Schools. Join us for their fun-filled return to the Amador Theater.

City of Pleasanton Civic Arts will host two-time Grammy award-winning musician/storyteller Bill Harley on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The special family-friendly evening performance in Civic Arts' SaturYAY! series will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Harley, who is a favorite among children, parents and teachers, will perform his insightful, serious and silly songs and stories as well as his newest release, "Wash Your Hands" (Lavate las manos). He wrote the song to remind children that washing their hands will help prevent the spread of the flu.
Adults: $10, $14 and $18; Child: $6, $10, and $14.

I Hate Hamlet by Paul Rudnick
Andrew is a young and successful television actor who comes to New York to play Hamlet in Central Park, moving into an apartment which once belonged to John Barrymore. There are some problems, though. His TV series has been canceled, his girlfriend is clinging to her virginity with conviction, and he has no desire to play Hamlet. An impromptu séance summons the ghost of Barrymore, costumed as Hamlet and somewhat tipsy, and Andrew’s life is no longer his own.

Tommy Savitt is a regular on the Bob & Tom Show and the star of dozens of national commercials. This comedian has made his biggest mark spending the past decade performing stand-up for the United States military and its allies.
Tommy's journey to bring laughter to those that sacrifice for our country has taken him to airforce,army,and naval bases in Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay, Japan, South Korea, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Curacao, Honduras, and Ecuador. Tommy has done it all - even performing at the United States Embassy in Belarus. This year,Tommy is scheduled to go to the Balkans,Turkey,and Iraq to do what he does best make 'em laugh.
Tommy has also gone international in other ways,making his mark on the Canadian comedy circuit,headlining Saskatoon's Great Plains Comedy Festival and Calgary's FunnyFest. What David Hasselhoff is to Germany, Tommy Savitt is to Canada but, better looking. Tommy has also appeared on Si TV's "Funny is Funny", Comcasts' "Boston Comedy Festival", National Lampoon,and commercials including Adidas, Monster.com, and Lowe's. As an actor, Tommy starred as Horatio in Love's Labours Lost at the Expanded Arts Theatre in New York City.
